Employment Services

Why are Employment Services an advocacy priority?

UnitingCare Australia is concerned to ensure that all Australians, particularly those at risk of social exclusion, are able to participate to their fullest extent inwork and community life.Through its many service delivery arms, the UnitingCare network has considerable experience in supporting people whose life circumstances mean that they are unable to participate in the workforce. UnitingCare Australia's advocacy work examines the current structure of employment services and offers recommendations on how employment services can be redesigned to provide holistic support that connects people to community and develops their unique and individual capabilities.

UnitingCare Australia's Employment Services Working Group

The UnitingCare Australia Employment Services Working Group includes representatives from UnitingCare agencies providing employment services around Australia. The group has input into the development of position statements and submissions to Government on employment issues and works to identify best practice delivery of employment services.
